ChartMogul is looking for a Principal Product Designer to help shape the future of our SaaS Metrics & Growth Platform and explore new product opportunities from first principles.
This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role for someone who combines strong product judgment, exceptional design craft, and enough technical fluency to prototype and, at times, ship well-scoped product improvements. You will take ideas from concept to polished execution: defining how features should work, how they should feel, and how they fit into the broader product experience.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, who also leads Product, and partner deeply with engineering to build high-quality, thoughtful, and robust software. This role is best suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of product, design, and implementation, and is excited by AI-accelerated ways of working.
From time to time, you may also contribute to marketing or documentation work where strong product storytelling and visual communication can create leverage for the business.

What You’ll Do

• Design end-to-end product features, and occasionally entirely new products, from early concept through final implementation

• Define interaction models, workflows, and UI details that make complex product problems feel clear and intuitive

• Produce polished, implementation-ready designs with a high bar for quality and consistency

• Prototype rapidly, explore multiple directions, and test ideas quickly to find the strongest solution

• Use AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex to implement well-scoped product improvements, UX refinements, and front-end features where it makes sense.

• Write clear product specifications and feature descriptions for internal teams and external audiences

• Create diagrams, visual explanations, and supporting assets for documentation, the website, and other product communication needs

• Collaborate closely with engineers on more complex initiatives, ensuring design quality and technical soundness throughout execution

• Use customer insight, product intuition, and data where useful to improve both new and existing parts of the product

• Help raise the overall quality bar across the product through strong judgment, attention to detail, and principled decision-making

• We’re looking for someone who is excited to work in a highly iterative way and help define what excellent AI-native product development looks like in practice

While this is a remote position, we are only able to consider candidates who are based in Europe or Asia.

About you

• Exceptional product design taste and a high bar for simplicity, clarity, and craft

• A strong first-principles thinker who can generate original ideas, not just refine obvious ones

• Significant experience designing end-to-end product experiences in software

• Strong product instincts and sound judgment in both big-picture decisions and fine implementation details

• Excellent written English and the ability to explain product behavior clearly and precisely

• A solid understanding of SaaS products, business models, and cloud software

• Deep proficiency with Figma and other modern design and prototyping tools

• Solid understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), paired with the ability to design scalable, well-architected APIs and data models built for long-term maintainability

• Comfort using AI coding tools to implement simple or well-scoped product changes directly

• The ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and think clearly about systems, constraints, and tradeoffs

• Enthusiasm for AI-native workflows, rapid iteration, and building useful products with a high degree of ownership
